Tai Chi is an ancient form of Chinese exercise that can bring real health benefits through its gentle stretching and breathing movements, and which can improve both body and mind, helping with concentration,  balance and calmness. 

This group started in January 2023, meeting weekly on Mondays in Thurston New Green Community Centre. A new 12 week term will start on Monday 15 January 2024.

Learning the set moves of Tai Chi is a continuous programme,  and the current group all started as beginners.

Free taster sessions are available to anyone potentially interested in joining the group. All you need is a reasonable level of mobility and a willingness to learn.

A subscription payment to cover hall costs is payable at the beginning of each 12 week term.
