The group tends to have indoor meetings from October to May and then visit various locations from June to September to take advantage of the summer weather. The group also encourages picture taking and also give a bit of basic instruction about camera use and image processing in programmes such as Photoshop Elements and also Picasa. The group is non-competitive with an aim to help everybody enjoy using their cameras and not to be intimidated by all the new technology
