Aims: We aim to explore the great heritage of history, beauty and antiquity to be found in our local churches Even a short visit can be an adventure of discovery and delight. This has led us to realise that there is no such thing as an ordinary church. Every church is unique. We marvel at the skill and craftsmanship displayed in the architecture, carvings and stained glass to be found even in the smallest churches and throughout all periods of history up to and including the present day.
Arrangements: We visit one or two churches in a given locality commencing at 2 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month.
Venues: The venues for the next visit are announced at each church crawl. These details are also posted on the notice board at Monday morning Monthly Lecture Meetings in Thurston Community Centre. The group is open-ended. All are welcome.

Next Venue and Date: Fornham All Saints and St Martins on Tuesday 21 May 2012 at 2.00pm
Leaving Bury on A1101 Mildenhall Road, Fornham All Saints is just over 1 mile outside the town. At double mini-roundabout turn right (B1106 s/p Brandon). Church is 300yds. on left. Park in front of church or courteously in Forge End, to left of church.
Continue on B1106 for ½ mile and at roundabout, take 3rd exit (s/p Fornham St. Martin). Church is ½ mile along road, on right. Park courteously on road.
I shall be away mid-June and again for a week from 23rd June. Unless someone would like to arrange a visit or other activity for the group for that month, the next outing will be 24th July; details to be advised - probably Mendlesham.
